How do I sign up for a free account?
Just click on the 'Sign up' link at the top of the page and supply a few basic details. There is no requirement to supply any credit card details. The service is completely free. Once you have signed up you can set up the activities you want to record time against and set up the people who will be using it. Once you have done that you can start using it without any delay.

Is there a time limit on a free account?
No. The only thing we ask is that you show some signs of actually using it. That means we expect to see at least one timesheet line added in any period of 60 days.

Are there any limits on a free account?
Yes, for instance you can only have so many members in your group. Details of the limits are on the sign up page. Also see the terms and conditions, also linked from the sign up page.

Why would I want to pay for an account?
Getting started with a free account is easy, and the best way to start. But a free account has limits, for example on the number of members you can have. If and when you need to go beyond those limits you will want to upgrade to a paid account which extends the numbers of elements you can use.

What is a "data item"?
A data item is the following:

• A line on a weekly timesheet recording hours against a single activity
• A single budget
